About me

Joshua Gillin has been a jack-of-all-trades for the Tampa Bay Times since 2006, previously writing pop culture columns and editing entertainment news until switching to PolitiFact.com. He now writes about everything from property taxes to gun control to medical marijuana to school funding. A Nebraska native and graduate of that university (back when the football team was a destroyer of worlds), he has worked in many writing, editing and management capacities in news, sports and features at The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Savannah (Ga.) Morning News and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He lives in Dunedin, FL, with his sarcastic fiancee, a daughter who will either be a lawyer or a Battle of Agincourt re-enactor and an inanimate feline named Countess.
